Volkswagen Protection Plus offers various coverage options to help protect you against the rising costs of mechanical repairs to your Volkswagen. In the event of a covered repair you may bring your vehicle back to your Volkswagen dealer for quality Volkswagen parts and experienced technician assistance. All Volkswagen Protection Plus plans also provide a rental car option to keep you running while your vehicle is being repaired. And with 24 Hour Roadside Assistance throughout Canada and the U.S. (excluding Hawaii), you are never far from a helping hand to get your vehicle back to any authorized Volkswagen dealer.

With Volkswagen Protection Plus, you can be assured of quality repairs every time and all you have to pay is a low deductible for each occurring breakdown.

* A new vehicle is any Volkswagen vehicle still within the full original manufacturer's warranty with a remaining term of at least one month and 5,000 kilometres at time of VWPP purchase. A Certified Pre-Owned vehicle is any vehicle that has been registered with Volkswagen Canada as a CPO vehicle. A pre-owned vehicle is any Volkswagen model within 10 model years and with less than 160,000 kilometres at time of VWPP purchase. Phaeton models are excluded from the VWPP purchase.

For New or Pre Owned Volkswagen Vehicles - The following components are covered under the Volkswagen Protection Plus 4 Star Plan:

5 Star and Certified Plus Plans ¹

For New and Certified Pre Owned Volkswagen Vehicles

In addition to the components covered under the Volkswagen Protection Plus 4 Star Plan, the Volkswagen Protection Plus 5 Star & Certified Plus Plans will also pay for costs to repair or replace any breakdown of all other parts to your vehicle with exception of those listed under the CONTRACT EXCLUSIONS section of your contract.

Glass, Lenses, Sealed Beams, Light Beams, Fuses, Batteries, Weather Strips, Trim Items, Moldings, Bright Metal, Chrome, Upholstery, Carpet, Paint, & Outside Ornamentation, Oil Changes, Brake Pads, Mufflers, and standard manufacturer recommended service intervals.

Additional Benefits

Trip Interruption
In the event of a breakdown which occurs more than 300 kilometres from your home and results in a repair facility keeping your vehicle overnight, we will pay or reimburse you for receipted motel and restaurant expenses, up to $100, including tax, per day for a maximum of 3 days. The total benefit per breakdown shall not exceed $300, including tax.

24 Hour Roadside Assistance
Each Volkswagen Protection Plus contract comes with 24 Hour Roadside Assistance for the term you have purchased. Roadside Assistance is provided by Emergency Response Marketing Inc (ERM). Here's what is offered:

A maximum of $75 per occurrence shall apply to all 24 Hour Roadside Assistance Coverage.

Car Rental Benefits
In the event of a breakdown covered by this contract, Volkswagen Protection Plus will pay or reimburse you for receipted expenses to rent a replacement vehicle (from a licensed rental agency) while your vehicle is being repaired. Coverage will be provided to you up to a maximum of $50, including tax, per day, for each 8 labour hours or portion thereof, to a maximum of $200 for each repair visit. In addition, a maximum of 3 days rental coverage will be provided for an engine or transmission parts delay.

What can be better than getting a refund if you claimed no benefits from Volkswagen Protection Plus? On select plans, in the event you have not filed any claims or received any additional benefits during your term, Volkswagen Protection Plus will provide to you a refund on the price you paid for your contract, to a maximum of $1000.

Volkswagen Protection Plus offers a claim free reward for any purchase of a 6 or 7 year term plan. Other conditions do apply to qualify for this benefit. Please read the contract carefully to ensure you qualify for this additional benefit.

The Volkswagen Commitment to Complete Satisfaction
If you have purchased a Volkswagen Protection Plus contract and wish to cancel you may do so within 30 days of purchase and you will receive a 100% refund*. You may also transfer the balance of your Volkswagen Protection Plus extended service contract at any time to a new owner in the event you sell or trade your vehicle.
