Electromobility for all!
Scott Keogh, CEO of Volkswagen Group of America, has officially announced that they will invest $800 million in expanding their Chattanooga production plant to begin production of the SUV model ID. CROZZ. It’s part of Volkswagen’s new ID. Family, and it’s expected to roll off the production line in 2022. The SUV will offer drivers a long-range driving behaviour, a spacious interior, and a digital connectivity experience unheard of in the auto market. Keogh said, “We’re known as ‘the people’s car’ for a reason, and our EVs will build on that tradition,”
Volkswagen has also assured us that this is just the beginning for e-mobility… by 2025, they plan on adding up to 50 pure electric vehicles to their lineup, and the change has begun!
